I did modified contour drawings of my own hand, and then inked it with an untrafine sharpie. Finally I used watercolors (some cheap, unfancy brand) to color it in. It was a project in my art class, given by Ms.Targee at the beginning of Eighth grade. So I was thirteen when I did it. She told us to do modified contour drawings of our hands on one big piece of paper, then we had to draw random designs or words to draw the eye to one part of it. The examples are taken from my parents, and my imagination. The knitting and the Mary Poppins reference are for my mom, and the guy surfing and holding on to the back of a truck on his skateboard is my dad... Heheh. Then I colored it in instead of just inking it because she said to leave no white space.
